These are letters written by members of the Arlidge family. I have put them on a separate page because they need to be of large size so that they can easily be read.
Letter written by Joseph Augustine Arlidge in 1853. He is writing to an unnamed brother(Christopher?) in the country(Bloxham),
saying that he has just received the parcel containing; fancy boots, letters
in a familiar hand (from their mother Ann) and other nice things from the
country. He mentions 'Tom' (Thomas Bennett Arlidge) and also 'Joe'
(Joseph Churchill Arlidge at 4 years old). He mentions Jacob (Fred Jacob) and also John. My guess is
that he is writing from Stratford-upon-Avon. |
